Posts: 276 (06/18/09 23:04:25) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I set up the background for some other photoshoot (boring work stuff), but I took the opportunity to photograph a couple of my newer figures (which I hadn't done a proper photoshoot yet): I thought the silver background might be fitting for their sci-fi theme. Wanted to include Indy in the photoshoot but he's more suitable in a dusty, desert, outdoor background. He'll be so outta place in a clean, bright, sterile environment! The white on silver is a little bright, but you're right, it's great for Sci-Fi. Any close ups of Thrawn's head?

Unfortunately, the loose ankles on the Stormtrooper couldn't hold that pose for long. I took him off the photoshoot area and put him on my desk, without changing the pose. He has since fallen over - while I was away! It's not like I bumped on the desk or anything, causing it to fall. Just hate the dumb ankles. Haha! Yes, Raiden. It is a Steven Seagal HS I used! The original head had longer hair at the back which reached down past his high collar. I shaved it off with an X-acto knife. Since the head was hollow, I soon made a huge hole at the back of his head. I've filled it with epoxy putty and painted it. And yeah, I do happen to have a closeup of the head: I'll probably make a separate post for Thrawn at a later date. Wanted to show him off with a chair/throne, which I am still in the middle of making. In the meantime he has to just stand around! Kinster. community.webshots.com/user/kinster100

But yeah, I'll post it up when it is done. I am, obviously, pushed into finally start making that chair by your awesome Thrawn's chair! I had planned on it, but never made a move until I saw how good Thrawn looks when seated! Thanks for the inspiration! Katya, the Stormie is Sideshow's. The Thrawn sculpt is great I can't believe it's Segal.probably because he doesn't look fat hahaha. I still gotta get my hands on the SS stormie and the SS Vader when he becomes more available.

I preordered the SS Stormie and SS Vader back in August 2008. Just got my Stormie recently, and still waiting for Vader! Add 1 month and it'll be one whole year's worth of wait! Sounds like he will be arriving in the next coupla weeks! I preordered him from a local retailer. Hopefully he will be sent to us directly from the factory in China, we are much closer. It would suck if he gets shipped to the States and then have to travel back here to Asia! Now VADER would look great in the silver background, I think.
