Just got mine yesterday, here is some quick pics next to his boss. Its a great figure, the body is a tad loose. I will need to address the hips and ankles to
make him stand on his own, but overall I'm very happy with him.

Looks pretty good
BTW, your vader is incredible badass! Awesome work!! |

Lookin' good!
I'm going to pick mine up at the local store today. I hope the body won't be too loose. The loose Prometheus on Indy is pissin' me off! I see you've got the 'flappy' back armour... I'll have to see how bad it is on my Stormie. Oh I luv your light-up saber. Saves a lot of time not having to photoshop that! |

Well, I got mine in. And I hate to announce that he's got loose ankles too.
How do you plan to address this problem, eggbreaker? I hope you update us if you managed to fix this. I have to find some black velcro to hold down the front and back armour. Other than that, he's a pretty cool figure. Oh, one other thing, he's not glossy enough... |

Cryoguns: Thanks for the compliment!
This is how I fixed his loose hips. I just placed some pieces of silicone into the butt plate to rub up against the hip pins. Works very well. Kinsther: I'll be working on the ankles today, maybe install a washer? Or might try the glue trick. I'll post later with the results. I also have to velcro the back armor and use the boil method to fix the chest plate.

Well I tried to use the glue trick for the ankles it worked some what butt still not as tight as it should be. Maybe some one will come up with a better fix
for it.
I also ended up gluing a piece of elastic to the chest and back pieces to prevent the back from flaring out.
I don't know what it is when I start working on figures, but I start going a little crazy with the mods. For my next mod I decided to take apart the helmet to see if I could fit a clone head under there. As you can see the helmet comes in 3 pieces and once hollowed out will just barely fit a clone head.
Because of the head size the helmet could not simply slide over it. So I had to again glue elastic straps in side the helmet to keep it together and allow it to open up just enough to go over the head.
Smaller heads like Barrack Solider and the ACE heads fit really easy. So if you use them you could just glue the pieces together and not worry about the elastic.

Onesixthsense, Thanks. With mine loose hips and ankles.
I've heard that some folks dont have any issues with loose joints, you might be one of the lucky ones! The Vaders are all mine. Pretty much every thing on them is custom made. Had a lot of help from my fellow board members here to piece them together.

Wow! Does the helmet really split apart or did you cut it apart like that. I haven't picked one of these guys up yet but they look great I'm really
tempted.
The body appears to be really thin though especially the legs. Is the thigh armor really thick? |

Thanks for the update, eggbreaker.
Here's a picture of mine, standing next to Hasbro Clonetrooper (Bbi body).
And here's the velcro fix, two pieces of the 'fuzzy' side on the insides of the armour and a long strip of the 'clingy' side to hold the armour together.
When assembled, it looks like this:
I used direct light to photograph this. Under normal lighting conditions, the velcro is barely seen. That hip fix is wonderful! I must try that. Thanks for the helpful pics. I hope you don't have to break any seams when removing the butt plate. Just unscrew a coupla screws, right? I don't have any silicone, I guess pieces of rubber will work just the same. I'm going to check if Indy's butt is removable as well. He desperately needs this fix! For the ankles, I tried the superglue method too. It did help, to a certain extent. Not as tight as I'd like it to be, but not as loose as before. Not sure why Sideshow gave him pointy eye corners, he's got Cleopatra eyes:
A relatively minor flaw, I'll fix this with a little white paint. Btw, that expandable helmet is pure genious!! Just for fun, I took this picture while snapping the Stormie pics:
George: "Ford! You wore the wrong outfit to the wrong movie!!" Erik, the helmet comes in 3 pieces out of the box. It is held together by some screws. Eggbreaker sanded out all the screw assembly to get a hollow helmet. The body looks very much like the Hot Toys TrueType, except in an anorexia version! This figure is a partnership development between HT and Sideshow. None of the armour pieces is too thick. |

Wow Kinster, great looking Clone. Is that the Hasbro armor? Looks great next to the SS.
Don't worry about the body, no seams to force just screws. Its very customizer friendly! Bitchin: The helmet has 3 screws and is glued together. I was very careful with the head gun to split it in 3. The legs are a tad thin, I plan on adding a tad of foam to the shin armor to get it to ride better.

Yup, that's the Hasbro Clone armour. I only replaced the original body with a Bbi body. Kept the hands and feet, no other mods. I guess this is one of the
better looking Hasbro 12" offerings...
I can't afford the Medi clone! Thanks for the info on the butt screws. (Somehow that didn't come out sounding right! Butt screws. LOL!) I'll go fix mine with some rubber bits. I hope Indy's butt is of the same construction. I'll have to undress him to find out. His legs are flappy as heck! |

Looks very sharp
I had figured I would need to do the chest armor as well - I had to do the same for my Marmits. I just glued a strap of elastic to the inside at either end. This keeps it pretty snug. |

Thanks for the info guys. It's kinda strange how they pieced the helmet together like that.

The rubber I used isn't working as well as silicone. The legs are still not as tight as I'd like them to be. But it's not as loose as before, so
that's an improvement.
I checked Indy's butt, it's not removable. Hey are you guys gonna make the Stormie more glossy? He looks rather dull at the moment... |

Here's a picture, with a movie screengrab.
I might try a layer of Mr. TopCoat Semi Gloss... |
